I feel a connection with nature. Some places have good energy, but most important they mark the beautiful places I've been, a tiny piece of the land. I always take rocks, or seashells, or sea glass from special places, just a few. Then you have rocks from the ocean, Scottish and Irish marble, shale from the mountains. A few here and there and you have quite the collection. You kids will get your own rock collection the more places you go, when you grow up to be just like Rosie.
You can't see it, but these rocks are from the Mediterranean Sea. It was my first time seeing visiting this sea. I have a kinship with bodies of water and rivers. Rivers and seas carry civilizations through time. They have been there long before us as highways and lifelines of the ancient world. I especially want to visit the Nile, the Tigris, and the Euphrates. In January, I may see the Jordan River. I'm definitely going to see the Dead Sea, and you better believe I'm jumping in it, don't care how cold it is, just like the fearless Polar Bears floating on their ice cubes that once were glaciers.
It's not obvious from this picture, but I got an A+ in geology. You should have seen the nerd hard on I got when I once found deposits of Muscovite Micah randomly. For those of you that don't know, not only is muscovite micah shiny and beautiful, but it has perfect cleavage. Science joke! Science joke! Later losers.
